LAND SURVEYOR IN TRAINING (LS/LSIT) -- SURVEY TECHNICIAN

Frederick T. Seher and Associates, Inc., a Professional Land Surveying firm located in San Francisco, is seeking an experienced LS/LSIT with comprehensive skills for office and field work, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the profession. This is a small office atmosphere where the ability to work as a team member is essential.
Certifications: LS/LSIT (preferred), valid class C driver's license with clean driving record
Education: Bachelor's degree or Certification in CAD/Civil Engineering/Land Surveying preferred
Office Experience: AutoCAD drafting of all types of Surveys and Condominium Plans from field notes, measurements and electronic data collection files. We currently use AutoCAD Land Development Desktop 2004 (LDD 2004). While we transition to Civil 3D; specific experience with Civil 3D is ideal. Drafting skills and experience preparing Tentative Parcel and Final Maps, Record of Surveys, Corner Records, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Condominium Plans, Topographic and Architectural Site Surveys, Elevation Certificates and Plats, etc. is highly desirable. Office experience may include processing electronic data collected in the field and adjustment calculations.
Field Experience: Experience with field collection data using robotic total station and GPS rover, specifically Leica Total Station 1202, Carlson SurvCE software, Leica Viva GS-16, and Leica Viva GS-15/CS-15 GPS Rover is desirable. Ability in keeping accurate field notes of surveys, setting up and operating optical and electronic survey instruments, the operation and use of robotic automated equipment and standard applications software used in land surveying work and various administration office duties as needed.
The ability to accurately measure interior building dimensions of Condominium Units and Airspace Parcels is highly desirable.
